The rules of the table

Terms of Service

These terms set the ground rules for using ManaMates. They are written for a social collection and trading community—not a marketplace or payment intermediary.

Last updated 2 August 2026Version 1.0

1. Agreement and eligibility

These terms are an agreement between you and ManaMates (beta) for use of ManaMates. By creating an account or using the authenticated service, you agree to them and acknowledge the Privacy Policy. If you cannot legally enter this agreement, a parent or legal guardian must approve your use.

The beta is currently intended for users aged 16 or older. Mandatory consumer rights under applicable law are not limited by these terms.

2. Accounts

  • Provide a valid email address and keep account information reasonably accurate.
  • Keep credentials private and notify us if you suspect misuse.
  • Use one person’s account only with that person’s permission.
  • You are responsible for activity performed through your account until you notify us of compromise.

We may require verification or temporarily restrict an account when reasonably necessary to protect users or the service.

3. Your content

You retain ownership of collection information, deck notes, messages and other content you create. You grant ManaMates a limited, non-exclusive licence to host, copy, display and process that content only as needed to operate, secure and improve the service and to show it to audiences you select through the available sharing features.

You must have the right to upload or share content. Do not post confidential information, another person’s personal data without a valid reason, or material that infringes intellectual-property rights.

4. Trades and card information

ManaMates helps Mates discover cards and communicate. It is not a party to trades, purchases, loans, shipping or payment arrangements between users. Users decide whether, where and how to complete an exchange and are responsible for checking card identity, printing, condition, authenticity, value and legal ownership.

Displayed prices are informational estimates from third-party data. They are not appraisals, offers or financial advice, and may be delayed, unavailable or wrong. Never send payment or cards until you are comfortable with the other person and terms.

5. Acceptable use

You must follow the Community Guidelines. In particular, do not scam, misrepresent cards, offer counterfeit or stolen goods, harass others, spam, scrape the service, bypass access controls, introduce malware, abuse imports or automated requests, or use ManaMates for unlawful activity.

We may investigate reports and remove content, limit features, suspend or terminate accounts when reasonably necessary to enforce these terms or protect the community.

6. Third-party services and intellectual property

Card names, rules text, artwork, set symbols and game trademarks belong to their respective owners. Their presence does not imply endorsement. Card data and imagery are provided through Scryfall and remain subject to applicable third-party terms and rights.

Links and integrations can lead to independent services. ManaMates is not responsible for their content, availability or privacy practices.

7. Beta availability and changes

ManaMates is a beta service. Features may change, contain errors or be unavailable. We may perform maintenance, impose reasonable limits, discontinue features or modify the service. Where practical, material changes affecting stored content will be communicated in advance.

Keep independent records of important collection and deck data. ManaMates is not a substitute for your own backup.

8. Responsibility and liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ManaMates is provided without guarantees that it will always be available, accurate or fit for a particular trading decision. The operator is not responsible for disputes or losses caused by user-arranged trades, third-party services, inaccurate card data or events outside reasonable control.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded, including liability for intent or where mandatory consumer law says otherwise.

9. Ending your use

You can stop using ManaMates at any time and request account deletion through the legal contact. We may suspend or end access for serious or repeated violations, security threats or legal requirements. Provisions that by their nature should continue—such as intellectual-property, dispute and liability terms—survive termination.

10. Governing law, changes and contact

Dutch law applies, without taking away mandatory protections you have under the law of your habitual residence. Disputes may be brought before a competent Dutch court unless mandatory law provides another forum.

We may update these terms. Material changes will be communicated where appropriate. Contact: complete the operator email before launch.
