1. Be a good Mate
Help people enjoy collecting and playing. Be patient with new players, communicate clearly, respect a “no,” and remember that availability does not obligate someone to trade.
2. Represent cards honestly
- Only offer cards you own or are authorised to trade.
- Describe printing, language, finish, condition and quantity accurately.
- Never knowingly offer counterfeit, altered or stolen cards without clear and lawful disclosure.
- Do not manipulate wants, prices or availability to mislead another person.
- Correct mistakes promptly when collection data is out of date.
3. Respect people
Harassment, threats, hate speech, sexual harassment, doxxing, intimidation and repeated unwanted contact are not allowed. Do not pressure someone into a trade or exploit a person’s age, inexperience or mistake.
Spam, unsolicited promotion, impersonation and coordinated abuse are also prohibited.
4. Protect privacy
Do not share another person’s address, contact details, private messages or transaction information without permission. Keep sensitive logistics out of public list or deck names. If an in-person exchange involves a minor, a parent or guardian should arrange and supervise it.
5. Trade safely
- Prefer trades with people you know or can verify.
- Agree on the exact cards, printings, condition and quantities before exchanging.
- For in-person trades, use a safe public or organised play location.
- For shipping, agree on packaging, tracking, timing and who bears risk.
- Do not send money or cards when something feels rushed, inconsistent or too good to be true.
ManaMates does not hold funds, authenticate cards, insure shipments or guarantee another user.
6. How enforcement works
Moderators review the reported context, category and relevant message before recording a decision. Depending on severity and history, ManaMates may issue a warning, temporarily suspend an account, ban access or restore an account after review. Suspensions and bans revoke active sessions immediately, and moderator decisions are retained in an internal audit trail.
Good-faith reports will not be penalised. Deliberately false or abusive reports may themselves violate these guidelines. To question a decision, contact the contact route on our Legal page with the account and decision details.
7. Report or block
Use the safety menu on a Mate’s profile to report conduct or block them immediately. Individual received messages can be reported from the message menu so moderators receive the relevant context. Blocking removes the Mate connection and stops either person from finding, requesting, messaging or opening the other’s shared profile; you can later unblock from Account & security.
Reports are confidential and are not shown to the reported user. For immediate danger or suspected crime, contact local emergency or law-enforcement services first.
